The Visual Music Service office is located in the historic
Writers and Artists Building in Beverly Hills, near the corner of Rodeo Dr.
and "Little" Santa Monica Blvd. Pictured above as it looked until 2010, the building has undergone extensive restoration and updating under new ownership.
Among the first commercial properties built in Beverly Hills, the W&A has hosted
Billy Wilder, Ray Bradbury, Jack Nicholson and other important writers, artists and filmmakers.

- tell me something about yourself. I'm not as interested in your credits as I am in...
- ...what you can actually do - do you read well?; can you write?; what are your doubles?
- since a lot of my work involves recording, I primarily use full-time pro players on their first instrument. If you are strong on other instruments, let me know.
- your union status - are you in the musicians' union (AFM)?
- a sideline musician is not an "extra" or a "background artist" or an actor. SAG, AFTRA and Central Casting can help you if you want to get into extra work or acting. I work only with professional musicans, primarily members of the AFM (American Federation of Musicians), and SAG/AFTRA singers. If you're trying to get into acting, I can't help you, but I can wish you luck.
